Beto is the son of Melissa Martha (Williams) and Pat Francis O’Rourke, an El Paso county judge.
He uses the nickname “Beto”, from the Spanish “Roberto”.
Beto’s paternal grandparents are John Francis O’Rourke and Mildred Rowena Jasper (the daughter of Newton Marion Jasper and Onora Belle Dressler). Onora was the daughter of Gottfried “Fritz” Jacob Dressler and Lucinda Susan Harlan.
Beto’s maternal grandparents are Robert Lee Williams and Charlotte Marguer Brooks.
