Kyle Vanden Bosch is an American professional football player. He was a defensive end in the NFL, from 2001 to 2013. He is the son of Bonnie and Douglas Vanden Bosch.
Kyle’s paternal grandfather was Bastiaan “Bert” VandenBosch (the son of Leonard Tammes “Lane” VandenBosch and Margaret Lems). Leonard and Margaret lived in Sioux County, Iowa. Leonard was the son of Tamme “Thomas” VandenBosch, whose father was from Havelte, Drenthe, Netherlands and whose mother was from Kalle, Grafschaft-Bentheim, Niedersachsen, West Prussia (now Germany); and of Tryntje “Tillie” VanDyn, whose parents were from Zuid-Holland, Netherlands. Kyle’s great-grandmother Margaret was the daughter of Bastiaan Lems, whose parents were from Zuid-Holland, Netherlands, and of Geesje Kooiker, whose parents were from Overijsel, Netherlands.
Kyle’s paternal grandmother was Lois Ann Kirk (the daughter of Wilfred Kirk and Nellie Groote). Wilfred was the son of Leonard Jesse Kirk and Anna Frederieke Brinkhous, both of Iowa, and of Dutch descent. Nellie was the daughter of Egbertus J. Groote and Bertha Grave, both of Iowa, and also of Dutch ancestry.
Kyle’s maternal grandfather was Cornelius “Cornie” Harthoorn (the son of Cornelis Gerrit Harthoorn and Marie Adrianna Dam). Cornelius’ parents were Dutch. Cornelis was the son of Cornelis Gerrit Harthoorn and Gerritje VanDonkelaar, who were from Utrecht.
Kyle’s maternal grandmother was Grace Wilma Kooi (the daughter of John Kooi and Gertie VanderLugt). Grace was born in Lebanon, Iowa.
