Steve Ballmer is an American businessman. He was the chief executive officer of Microsoft from January 2000 to February 2014, and is the current owner of the Los Angeles Clippers. His father, Frederic Henry “Fred” Ballmer, was a Swiss immigrant. His mother, Beatrice (Dworkin), was Ashkenazi Jewish (her family was from Belarus). He is married to Connie Synder.
Steve’s maternal grandparents were Schlomo (later Samuel “Sam”) Dworkin (the son of Yitzhak Dworkin and Freida-Pesya Ehieleva) and Rachel (later Rose) Horing. Samuel and Rose were Ashkenazi Jewish immigrants.
