Jan Kuehnemund was an American rock musician. She was the lead guitarist and co-founder of all-female glam metal band Vixen. Other members of the band are/were Janet Gardner, Roxy Petrucci, and Share Ross.

She was the daughter of Betty Ann and Carl Otto Kuehnemund.

Jan’s paternal grandfather was Carl Albert Kuehnemund (the son of George Kuehnemund and Katherine A. Rupp). Carl was born in Minnesota, to German parents.

Jan’s paternal grandmother was Anna H. Kohls (the daughter of Wilhelm August Kohls and Emilie Manke). Anna was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to German parents. Wilhelm was the son of Frederick Kohls and a woman surnamed Taves. Emilie was the daughter of William Manke and Ulricka Klease.

Jan’s maternal grandfather was John Theodore Kozer. John was born in either Minnesota or the Governorate of Livonia, Russian Empire, now between Latvia and Estonia. The surname Kozer is mostly of Slavic origin.

Jan’s maternal grandmother was Margaret Dyke/Dike (the daughter of Wybe Libbe Dyke/Wiebe Libbes Dijk and Anna Dykstra). Margaret was born in Lynn Township, Iowa, the daughter of Dutch emigrants, from Wolvega, Friesland. Wybe was the son of Libbe Wybes Dijk and Geeske Theunis Wynia. Anna was the daughter of Gerben Wopkes Dykstra and Styntje Klazes Dijk.
