‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin is an American professional wrestler, actor, television personality, and podcaster. He is best known for his work in WWE and is considered one of the greatest professional wrestlers ever. He has also been billed as ‘Stunning’ Steve Austin and The Ringmaster. As an actor, he is known for his roles in the films The Longest Yard, The Condemned, and The Expendables.
Steve was adopted by his stepfather, Kenneth Williams, and his surname was changed to Williams. Steve has two children with his former wife, Jeanie Clarke, who appeared in WCW as his valet, Lady Blossom. He grew up in Edna, Texas.
Steve’s parents are James and Beverly Anderson. James was born in Texas, of mostly English descent, with smaller amounts of Irish, German, Scots-Irish, Welsh, Scottish, and remote French ancestry. Steve’s maternal grandmother, Ruby Jane Schweitzer, was born in Oklahoma. Ruby Jane’s father, Otto Schweizer/Schweitzer, emigrated to the U.S. from Switzerland. Her mother, Lizzie Jane Henderson, emigrated to the U.S. from Northern Ireland.
Steve is a fifth cousin six times removed of Susan B. Anthony through his mother’s Harrison line.
