Nancy Cartwright is an American actress, voice actress, and comedian. She voices Bart Simpson, as well as other characters, on the series The Simpsons. Nancy is the daughter of Miriam Elaine (Wendel) and Frank Chance Cartwright. Her niece (sister’s daughter) is singer and actress Sabrina Carpenter.

Nancy’s paternal grandparents were John Andrew Cartwright (the son of George Odell Cartwright and Blanche Gilliland) and Charlotte Josephine Chance (the daughter of Frank Smith Chance and Katherine Whalen).

Nancy’s maternal grandparents were Sylvester William Wendel (the son of William H. Wendel and Christina M. Sudhoff) and Mary Lucille Elizabeth Sommers (the daughter of Otto A. Sommers and Harriet Ann Mowbray). Sylvester was of German descent. Mary was of mostly German ancestry.
