Bob Seger is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. Bob is the son of Charlotte A. (Zadow) and Stewart Clark Seger.
Bob’s paternal grandparents were George Clark Seger (the son of Hiram C. Seger and Sarah Ann Clark) and Gertrude I. Stewart. George was born in Michigan, to a Michigan-born father and a Canadian mother. Gertrude was born in Canada, to an Ohio-born father and a Scottish mother.
Bob’s maternal grandparents were Albert Gustav Zadow (the son of Gustav Zadow and Augusta Kalisch) and Mabel E. McClintock (the daughter of Oliver Allen Cromwell McClintock and Charlotte Pake). Albert was born in Michigan, to German parents. Mabel was born in Michigan. Oliver and Charlotte was both born in Pennsylvania, though some sources state that Oliver was born in England. Oliver’s surname, “McClintock” might indicate Irish ancestry. Charlotte’s father, Urius/Urias Sylvester Pake, was born in Brock, Durham, Ontario, Canada, and had English and distant Dutch ancestry, from the Dutch colonization of New Amsterdam. Charlotte’s mother, Harriet Scarff, was born on the Isle of Man, and had Manx ancestry. Some sources state that she was born in Botesdale, Suffolk, England.
