Lucas Hedges is an American actor. He is the son of Susan Bruce (Titman), a poet, and Peter Hedges (Peter Simpson Hedges), a novelist, playwright, writer, and director.
Lucas’s paternal grandparents were The Rev. Robert Boyden Hedges (the son of Walter Raleigh Hedges and Rachel Boyden) and Carole Joan Simpson (the daughter of Henry Ray Simpson and Lila Loie Krouse). The Rev. Robert was an Episcopalian minister.
Lucas’s maternal grandparents are John DeWitt Titman, Jr. (the son of John DeWitt Titman and Sybil G. Weeks) and Narcissa Daniel Hargroves (the daughter of The Rev. Dr. V. Carney Hargroves, born Vernon Carney Hargroves, and of Narcissa Bruce Daniel). Sybil’s sister, Barbara Weeks, was a radio actress. The Rev. Dr. V. Carney was a Baptist minister who was president of the Baptist World Alliance.
