"Dumb And Dumber To" Los Angeles Premiere - Arrivals

Birth Name: Ian Andrew Hecox

Place of Birth: Sacramento, California, United States

Date of Birth: November 30, 1987

Ethnicity: English, 1/8th Portuguese, along with Scottish, German, and Dutch

Ian Hecox is an American YouTube personality. He is one half of the comedy duo SMOSH, alongside Anthony Padilla.

Ian is the son of Sharon Louise (French) and Stephan Andrew Hecox. Ian’s ancestry is one eighth Portuguese, at least one sixteenth Scottish, smaller amounts of German and Dutch, and the remainder being English or mostly English.

Ian’s paternal grandfather was Donald A. Hecox (the son of Andrew S. Hecox and Lena M. Powers). Andrew was the son of William W. Hecox and Ella Adelia/Adelin Vanwoert/Danvoert/Vanwert. Adelia’s mother, Elizabeth Tredenborg, was German, and her father, Stephen Vanwert, likely had Dutch ancestry. Lena was the daughter of Fred Powers and Pearl May Burgess/Burger.

Ian’s paternal grandmother was Pearl Alice Cousins (the daughter of James Alexander Cousins and Madeline Aomaral/Amaral). James was the son of Alexander Cousins and Pearl A. Thomas; Alexander was born in Colorado, to Scottish parents. Madeline was the daughter of Joseph Amaral and Jessie, who were both born in California, to Portuguese parents.

Ian’s maternal grandparents were Roy L. French (whose parents’ surnames were possibly “French” and “Blattman”) and Lynda S. George.
