Tim Commerford is an American musician. He is known as the bassist for the rock band Rage Against the Machine, whose other members were Zach de la Rocha, Tom Morello, and Brad Wilk, and for the supergroup Audioslave, whose other members were Chris Cornell, Morello, and Wilk.
Tim is the son of Robbie Ruth (Smith) and Gerard Lawrence Commerford.
Tim’s paternal grandparents were Eugene J. Commerford (the son of Timothy Carboy Commerford and Anna J.) and Charlotte Dorothy Meisenheimer (the daughter of Charles David Meisenheimer and Charlotte Dyckmann). Tim’s great-grandfather Timothy was the son of Irish parents, John Commerford and Margaret Carboy. Tim’s great-grandparents Charles and Charlotte were both the children of German parents.
Tim’s maternal grandparents were Joseph E. Smith and Willie Mae Murdaugh.
