Honus Wagner was a Major League Baseball Short Stop and hall of fame inductee. He was born to German immigrant parents and was known as the “Flying Dutchman” for his speed. Historically, Germans in the US were often referred to as “Pennsylvania Dutch”.
Honus’s paternal grandparents were Johann Nikolaus Wagner (the son of Johann Nikolaus Wagner and Anna Maria Brueck) and Karolina Sorg.
