Thaddeus McCotter is an American politician and radio host. A Republican, he served as a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Michigan, from January 3, 2003 to July 6, 2012.
He was a candidate for the Republican Party’s nomination for President of the United States in 2012.
Thaddeus is the son of Georgia Joan (Farabaugh) and Dennis V. McCotter.
Thaddeus’s paternal grandparents were Frank McCotter and Agnes. Frank was born in Northern Ireland.
Thaddeus’s maternal grandfather was George J. Farabaugh (the son of Francis Englebert Farabaugh and Theresa Anna Anna). Francis was the son of Edward Fehrenbacher, whose parents were German, from Baden, and of Catharine Elizabeth Hartman, who was also of German descent. Theresa was the daughter of Charles Anna, who was born in Bavaria, Germany, and of Justina Long, who was of German descent.
